Andrew J. LoVuolo
(The Rift™, Marshal™)
Andrew LoVuolo was born and grew up in Chelsea, MA and currently
resides in North Reading, MA. Andrew created, wrote, and inked his
first comic book series, The Rift™ that was published by Roaring
Studios (now Dabel Brothers Productions) and debuted in May of 2002.
It was produced by and is now entirely published under the banner of
his own Graphic Illusions Studios. Since its inception The Rift™ has
welcomed many budding artists to the business including 'Danimation'
(Spider-Man, Voltron, Iron & The Maiden), Robert Atkins (New
X-men, G.I. Joe), Robert Richardson (Dragon Cross), M3th (Street
Fighter), Jack Purcell (52, Gotham Underground), and Enrique Savory
Jr. (Totem). Although Andrew has had the pleasure of writing for and
working with such amazing newcomers in the comic book industry he's
also been fortunate enough to meet and work with famed industry
talents such as Jimmy Palmiotti, Paul Gulacy and Amanda Conner all of
whom have graced the covers of The Rift series! Aside from creating
and writing his own series he's also written three issues of Marshal
for Dabel Brothers Productions/Marvel Comics (during their short
partnership) and has worked with fellow creators and business partners
in an editorial and art director role on Immortal KIss™, Urban
Sprawl™, Intrepid™, and Shonen Double Feature™.
Andrew grew up on ‘80s comics and cartoons and remains a huge Sci-fi
fanatic. He has worked with former Stan Winston Studios
producer, Brian Gilbert, on several potential movie concepts, and had
a three-year licensing deal with toy company Shocker Toys. This
Boston-based writer/creator designed the logo and site design for New
Legend Productions' highly visited www.ComicBookTrailers.com. He also
helped design and develop the online comic-reader site
www.bscdigital.com for Jim Balent (Tarot) and Holly Golightly (School
Bites). Andrew is more recently working as project manager and art
director for a Boston-based screenwriter Emilio Mauro. Working
together with another highly talented creative team they're putting
together a graphic novel called Ultra Terrestrials: The Unveiling
which is targeted for release at the 2011 New York Comic Con.
At present Andrew is promotingThe Rift™ #5, working to get the
remaining three issues of Marshal™ to print, and looking for time to
pen the next issue of The Rift™. Future plans include branching out
into other forms of media such as television, film and video games
starting with The Rift™ or Marshal™ and then following up with
other properties also developed in-house. For more about Andrew J.

Bob Raymond - Working on an awesome
project for Jetpack Press.
Bob's been drawing since he was a wee lad drawing favorite
cartoon characters like Voltron, Thundercats, He-Man to the Ninja
Turtle crazy. Yes a child of the 80's. But it wasn't until he
saw a new comic with unseen characters that really caught his
eye at a local convenience store, Cyber Force. From there he was
hooked into the comic world and never looked back embracing his
Geekhood.
Since then been trying to catch a break. He recently got some
publicity when he did a comic for an unknown Senate candidate Alvin
Green of North Carolina and had his comic shown on the Daliy Show with
Jon Stewart and a bunch small press publications to the
Washington Post.
Next up a one shot threw Jetpack Comics!

Bill Mitchell & Kimball Thorpe - Out of utter obscurity stride Bill Mitchell and Kimball Thorpe co-creators of the comic character Beanman. They will be at the NH Free Comic Book Day Festival on May 7th, drawing and jawing for all who are interested. These two relative unknowns have flown under the comic radar for so long that it is a rare moment indeed when they get together and make themselves available to the general public. Known lately for their widely popular beanmancomics.com website where they now continue their Beanman comic on-line for the entire world to enjoy they also toil in other areas of art and will be happy to discuss that as well. Since the 1970's when they attended Catskill High School together and both were commandeered to play tuba in the band they began a life of comic art that sent them to the now legendary 1970's Comic Conventions in NYC. After immersing themselves in the waters of Marvel and DC they hit on their own character and the rest is history.
So go to beanmancomics.com and get familiar with these two icons of obscurity and then come on down to the NH Free Comic Book Day Festival and meet them in person so you can brag to friends about it and scare your Mom.

Sara Richard - Ever since I was a wee nugget, art
has been a huge part of my life. Now at the ripe old age of 25, I am
currently working on solidifying a signature illustration style and
freelancing with a consistent client being Hasbro.
I graduated from The Columbus College of Art & Design in May 2008 and
landed a temp. position at Hasbro a few weeks later. My term was up in
January 2008 and so I was thrust into the harsh wilderness that is
freelancing. From that however, and between jobs from Hasbro, I began
developing a style that incorporated my love of Art Nouveau and wildlife
(mostly the extinct kind). It also opened up time for me to learn a little
bit of hang-gliding too, which I think is an essential skill to have
especially with no health insurance. Next up, the fine art of power kite
jumping!
I love comics, toys, cartoons, anime, anything nerdy: I will devour it
like a fat kid at IHOP. Cosplay is another one of my many geek-tacular
activities. I'm a part of a cosplay team called Human Sushi with my two
best friends, Abby and J'aimie (see our finer nerd-moments on the Youtube).
The little dinosaur thing I have can be summed up as this: "Dinosaurs
are freaking cool." I've been asked about this interest of mine many
times and it confuses my why people think liking dinosaurs needs to be
something you have to grow out of. I think I actually grew into it since
I've always considered "Jurassic Park" one of my favorite
movies, I didn't actually become paleo-obsessed until senior year at CCAD.
A couple last tidbits be these: I'm heavily inspired by Japanese Ink
Paintings (sumi-e) for their simplicity in composition, so much so that my
signature is "Sara" in katakana (the Japanese alphabet system
for foreign words and names.) and that I try to emulate the simplicity in
my work. And also, I'm terrified of centipedes.
