and sell your stuff at the Rochester, NH Free Comic Book Day Festival! Vendors
of all types are welcome to set up at this Jetpack Comics / Rochester
Main Street event! As
a convention and event vendor why should you miss out on participating
in Free Comic Book Day? Every
comic shop in the country is bringing in hundreds and thousands of
people! Jetpack Comics
LLC and the Rochester Main Street Association invite you to come to
Rochester, NH on Saturday, May 2nd to set up at one of New England’s
largest Free Comic Book Day Events.
Of course, dealers of any type are welcome to come, but
saleable items have to be all ages appropriate.
All vendors that participate in this event will have first
refusal for tables at our upcoming monthly collectibles show. Last
year our Free Comic Book Day event, with the help of Rochester Main
Street Association, drew between 750 and 1000 people.
This year, with the added promotion we are receiving, we expect
to double that. Originally
planned as an outdoor festival the Rochester Main Street Association
voted to move the event indoors.
While it still takes place all over Rochester (www.jetpackcomics.com)
the indoor venues will allow us to have an easily accessible rain or
shine event. Currently we
have two large indoor venues and will add more as space fills up. Vendor
tables are only $50 each with each vendor also bringing at least 100
free comic books (or some other free item) to give-away, in the Spirit
of Free Comic Book Day. Every
comic dealer has a pile of Valiant comics they can’t sell.
Each vendor is also expected to provide the Star Wars group
with a comic (or a pile of collectibles) with a $25 value.
The Star Wars 501st and the NH Mandalorians will be
holding silent auctions for all the donated items, with the proceeds
going to charity. The
FCBD portion of the event is being sponsored and organized by Jetpack
Comics with the overall event is being run by the Rochester Main
Street Association, a non-profit organization, so both your table cost
and donations / give-aways are tax deductible. Special
Guests include HULK’s Ed McGuinness and Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles, Peter Laird with
the Mirage Studios crew as well.
That’s right,. Free Comic Book Day is officially the day before the 25th
anniversary of the original convention premier of the Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles. Mirage
Studios creators include, Jim Lawson (TMNT artist, Planet Racers
co-creator), Mike Dooney (TMNT artist, Gizmo artist and creator),
Steve Lavigne (TMNT colorist, letterer) and
Dan Berger (TMNT artist, TMNT Adventures artist),
Tentative Mirage guests include Eric Talbot (TMNT artist) and
Steve Murphy (TMNT writer). We
will have CGC Signature Series Witnesses on hand for anyone wishing to
get books signed and graded. The
event takes place from 10 am to 4 pm.
We are currently accepting dealers for the first location.
Tables at this location are 3’ x 8’.
Payment for tables should be made out to Rochester Main Street
Association and mailed to Jetpack Comics LLC, PO Box 1533, Rochester,
NH 03866. Payment
in full reserves your space at the event.

THE OLD OAK TAVERN CELEBRATES
After your day around town, getting free comics, meeting Star Wars
characters and hanging out with comic creators, why not join us at the Old
Oak Tavern! Located right in downtown on North Main Street, The Old
Oak Tavern will only be open for fans and Patrons of Free Comic Book
Day. Be sure to wear your Jetpack Comics pins and stickers!
Special winnings for those that show up with a RALPH button!
Where to Park - Rochester has a number of municipal parking lots around town. Any of them will give you easy access to the city, for the day.
How do you get to the event?
The Rochester Free Comic Book Day Festival takes place all over
Rochester. You'll want to stop by Jetpack Comics, The Knight of
Columbus Hall, The Cafe at The Governor's Inn as well as dozens of downtown
businesses. Each venue will guests and characters while each
business will have free comics.
Routes 95, 16, 4, 125, 108 & the Spaulding Turnpike all lead to
ROCHESTER, NH (in one way or antoher). It couldn't be easier. If you're
