The Boston Celtics are up 2 games to nothing over the Los Angeles Lakers. I have been waiting all my life to see the Celtics in the NBA Finals, and it’s finally here. The last time they were in the NBA Finals, I was 3 years old. I know some of my readers will probably remember 1987, but I don’t. I know the history of the Celts very well, but I have only been around during the lean years after Larry Bird retired, and have never experienced the Celtics winning a championship, so I’m a little excited to say the least. Hopefully I will see it come to fruition, and not have it be a "what if?"

On to the reviews:

Amazing Spider-Man #562 by Bob Gale, Mike McKone and Andy Lanning

The Lowdown: It’s been rough times for Peter Parker lately. Mr. Bennett had him on the paparazzi beat for a while, and then he quit. After that Bennett threatened to blackball him from ever working for the media in New York City ever again. Spider-Man is also a suspect in some recent murders, but it wasn’t Peter Parker. It was an imposter, but it still puts the real Spider-Man in some hot water.

What Happens: The Basher calls out Spidey to a showdown on a rooftop in New York City on the internet. At The Bar With No Name, where all of the discerning super-villains, the Bookie sees the video and starts taking all sorts of action on the encounter, and chews off more than he can bargain for with his betting.

Should You Buy It?: The book was a pretty solid one off issue, and not part of some continuous story arc. Also, it was nice see that they had Mike McKone do the pencils for this issue. McKone is a very under rated talent, who has seemed to improve with every issue that he’s done over at DC. This was actually one of the best issue of Amazing since Brand New Day started. A book that comes out as often as this book does is only as good as the creative team on it. You could say that for any comic book, but when it comes out as often as Amazing, it doesn’t as much when you spend $3 if it’s a good book. This book gets the Daledo Seal of Approval.
